took place today at the Humboldt University in a discussion between representatives from the protesting students and the President of the University. This conversation illustrates once again why we protest.
Mit dem Gespräch wollten die Studierenden in Erfahrung bringen in wie fern das Präsidium den HU-internen Forderungen entgegenkommen kann. Hierfür lag eine Auflistung der Forderungen vor. Ein Großteil dieser Forderungen lag bereits seit geraumer Zeit vor und wurde vom Akademischen Senat bereits verhandelt. Bisher jedoch ohne Erfolg.
Und wieder wurden wir mit unseren Forderungen an den Akademischen Senat verwiesen, denn dieser ist das „demokratische“ Entscheidungsgremium. Wir teilen die Meinung jedoch nicht das universitäre Gremien demokratisch sind, auch der Akademische Senat nicht. Denn all diese Gremien bestehen per Verfassung aus einer absoluten Mehrheit an Professor/-innen.
Genau hier wird das Dilemma und one reason our protests clear. A democratic participation and participation is impossible for us by the constitution.
The courtesy of the Bureau can now only be understood as irony and not the appeal to democratic committees be allowed to stand without comment. Academic bodies are much more bodies in which the majority of the stakeholders of the University
be devalued in their decision-making capacity and are therefore governed by a minority.
We are competent enough to decide on our issues, as well as faculty and Staff. We call the equivalence of all stakeholders and thus equal opportunities Entscheidung herbeizuführen.
Die kategorische Benachteiligung (besonders von Mehrheiten) führt zu Ohnmacht und Radikalität, daher protestieren wir. Für Demokratie, frei von Privilegierten Gruppen, egal ob in Schule, Uni oder Politik.
